Altar Counselor Ministry Function: The Altar Counselor Ministry consist of servant leaders and workers who come alongside, pray for and with others, and minister to persons at the altar during worship services, or outside the four walls of the church, if needed, to lead them to Christ, offer Spirit-led advice and support using God's Word as our foundation. Purpose: Demonstrate effectiveness as spiritual leaders and biblical counselors trained to help individuals receive Christ as Savior and Lord, grow and develop in their relationship with Christ, become spiritually mature and faithful followers of Jesus Christ. Continued offering biblical and life application training/teaching church teamwork, personal development, and specific areas of ministry unique to the assignments/callings dominate in the local assembly. Unity among workers, excellence in ministry, consistency and faithfulness in service.
