Pastor Ronald Eagleton, affectionately known as "Pastor Ron" in "The City", is a native of Barrett Station, Texas and has been the pastor of the Mt Rose Church of God in Christ since 1985. Pastor Eagleton has been married to Jeorgia Baxter Eagleton since 1972 and they are the parents of four gifted, anointed children: Korey; Damon & wife, Nikkia; Amber; and Devin. They have also been blessed with four grandchildren.
Pastor Eagleton is a graduate of North Texas University with a bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology and The University of Houston at Clear Lake City, with a master's in Counseling. A Licensed Professional Counselor, he worked in the public school system for 20 years as a speech therapist and counselor. Pastor Ron has served as full-time pastor of Mt. Rose since 1992. He attended the C. H. Mason System of Bible Colleges, and earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Houston Graduate School of Theology.
Mt. Rose Church is a member of the Texas Greater Southeast First Jurisdiction of the Churches of God in Christ. Pastor Ron has served the Church of God in Christ as a District Superintendent, Director for In-services and as Administrative Assistant to deceased Bishop R.E. Woodard, Jr. and Bishop Rufus Kyles, Jr. for the Texas Southeast First Jurisdiction. He presently serves as Mission President for Texas Greater Southeast First Jurisdiction, Bishop Johnny Tates, Prelate.
A proponent of community development and community church cohesion, Pastor Ron is a member of the Barrett Station Ministerial Alliance and the Crosby-Barrett Ministerial Alliance.
Pastor Ron's forte is Bible exposition, leadership training, biblical life application and the development and restoration of family systems within the church.
